Day 21 – IRONMAN Training

Today and yesterday was busy. First. Let’s talk about yesterday. I will let the picture tell you how that day went.

A nail.

I got a flat and now I keep thinking about all of the flat tyres I’ve gotten in the last couple of weeks. Should I go tubeless? I’m looking at Hunt wheels for my road bike. I also went to a metal concert last night and it was wild. I miss heavy metal concerts. I can’t wait to start attending more.

Of course I still went to the gym.… more stretching than anything else.

Today…I rode 65km in 2 hours and 30 minutes. There were tons of traffic and people, I went slow. I then went to Walmart and stocked up on my almond milk. I then went home, drove my mom to work, spoke to a good friend on the phone, and then put my road bike on the trainer. To mitigate time, I will be training on Zwift. I’ll write about it in the future.

Hey Jay. I was wondering why I hadn’t seen you on YouTube for a while, so I thought I’d check out your website. Reading your blog posts I can see you’ve been pretty busy! Hope you’re enjoying the ironman training and not overdoing it.

Hey Dave! It’s always nice to hear from you and I appreciate you thinking about me! It’s nice to make content and have people appreciate the things I put out. Also thanks for reading my posts! I try not to make them boring.

I can see why this sport is incredibly draining when there are so many priorities in life, time management becomes key. I’m definitely getting better at it. As for over doing it, I’ve been listening to my body and if I need to rest, I rest. This is helping me a lot. Before, I would ignore the pain and keep training.

I’ve been working on three videos but I’m still testing the apparel and want to give better input on them. My new Roka Skinsuit, my new maap vest, and my new maap long sleeve. Those are my next videos I hope to release soon. I hope you are doing well and having great bike rides.
