It was a restless night so I decided to read a book believe it or not. I was halfway through the first page until I smelled something. The smell was smoke coming from my lightbulb. The bulb was smoking.
I quickly grabbed the closest material to wrap my hand to remove the bulb. This ended up being my assos cycling bib. It burned the chamois. That same day, I headed to MEC and purchased the Castelli Entrata cycling bib. I should have just turned off the light.
This bib is great. Here is what I can tell you.
Pros
- An affordable cycling bib that offers great quality and is from a reputable brand
- the material keeps me cool during my summer rides
- Chamois is decent
- Straps are tight
- Leg cuffs feel great
Cons
- Two large logos in the back of the leg which make you look like a walking ad.
There isn’t many cons and even that isn’t that big of a deal. I think the chamois could be a bit thicker but that’s just me. The colour is great, the material is great, and if you don’t want to spend much, this is a great choice to go for.
Update (20-june-2021): my dog ate the chamois but a subscriber requested to see how the chamois looked. Here you go.

UPDATE JUNE 2022: this bib is amazing. You can’t beat the price and the quality is there. I would buy again. Castelli does not disappoint. If you’re looking for a high quality, great compression, great leg grippers, and affordable, you can’t go wrong.
